On May 3^rd 2013, our school received the confirmation email signed by the chief of International Baccalaureate world organization and was granted the authorization letter by administration director Jeffrey Beard. WHBC was finally authorized as the first IB World School, the two years effort of IB application and project preparation came to an end in a victory.

 

After successfully became the IB preparation school in 2011, WHBC established the first experimental IB class in September 2012. During these two yeas, WHBC having acquired strongly support both from Wuhan education department and school’s leaders, the first IB class is highly recognized in the fields of student character, education quality and future planning.

 

In February 2013, WHBC obtained highly recognition in the IB re-assessment. In the early April, WHBC entered IBO final assessment procedure in the shortest time. Through the twice inspection on school’s education quality, study atmosphere, submitted documents and the various conversation with officials from Wuhan International Communication Agency, Wuhan Foreign School, WHBC management team and as well as the IB students and their parents. Three IBO expert with foreign nationality evaluated our preparation job of IB projects in different respects, includes IB education understanding and execution, hardware and software resource, course schedule, future education planning, education quality and management and administration work. As a result, the expert gave a high appraisal to both our project preparation job and student character.

 

One month after the final assessment, WHBC finally owns the honor to be the first IB World School in Hubei through the two years effort of application, evaluation and the successful IB class education experience with the support from Wuhan Education Department, Wuhan Foreign School, as well as all the staff in WHBC and parents. This is the highest achievement rated by the top international organization and approves education quality of WHBC again. In addition, WUBC become Hubei’s first school which owns all the three mainstream courses of international senior school--AP, IB and A Level.
