WHBC received official authorization by the International Baccalaureate Organization on April 30th, 2013, thus became an IBDP World School.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is the world’s leading provider of international education for students in their last two years of high school. IBDP students have great success in earning admission to leading universities in the west and throughout the world.

IBDP students study six subjects, with a balance of breadth and depth, including languages (mother tongue and second language), mathematics, science, social studies and art (optional). Students are assessed through examinations and coursework.
The IBDP is much more than just examinations and coursework. IBDP students are involved in a range of extra-curricular activities including the arts, physical activities and service. They also take a unique IBDP course called Theory of Knowledge (TOK), in which students develop their critical thinking skills and learn to question what we claim to know. They write an Extended Essay (EE), which is a major research paper written on a topic of their choice, with support from a teacher – excellent preparation for university-level learning.
The IBDP develops the whole student. A key feature of the IBDP is the Learner Profile, which is a set of 10 attributes that IBDP students explore and develop: Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinker, Communicator, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-taker, Balanced and Reflective.
