On February 28, 2018, the Fourth United States Academic Decathlon - CHINA came to an end in Guangzhou. The competition attracted nearly 100 high schools across the country and more than 2,000 high school students participated in the competition. Compared to previous years, the number of participants increased rapidly. Our teams did a really good job at this competition. They won the second place and seventh place. The team which won the second place finally got the chance to go to the United States for the finals. At the same time, our students have won a total number of 19 individual medals, including 6 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals. Especially Wang Ziqi, from IBDP programme, has obtained the first for the individual group in the country. In addition, in the “Chinese Traditional Culture Competition”, a creative competition which was latest added to the competition, team of Hu Tianshu, Wei Chumei, Wang Xinzi and team of Zhang Xiaoyi, Hu Bo, Ye Cheng both won the third prize.
